For the road

Work these few weeks has been a series of days driving around the island, all over the place, for short meetings where sometimes not much gets achieved. And then you realise you actually spend more time on the road than at the meetings. Sian.

Looking for the right driving music is a challenge too, with the usual radio stations disappointing, and their deejays annoying.

So, thank you Lancerlord, for the perfect pick me up. I give you the Hokkien driving song here. (For best results, don’t listen until you’ve loaded it into your MP3 player / iPod and plugged it into your car stereo, started the car, and are driving down the ECP/AYE/PIE/BKE/SLE/TPE/KJE).

  1. the brilliant Linkmeister, Lancerlord, who found this gem of a Hokkien song, a ditty about the importance of safe driving (no, REALLY). Stuff like this should become National Treasures, I tell you. Dammit if I knew who sang this, I’d BUY the CD. AsMiyagi says, you must blast it while driving down your favourite expressway.

Since you spend more time on the road, you must really have “powderful” internet access. Chio-bu also can find while travelling. Thanks for the Hokkien song… you won’t believe how sought after these treasures are in places far from home! 😛
